BUKIT LAWANG
At present Bukit Lawang is one of the mainstay attractions of North Sumatra. Seeing orangutans in their natural habitat is the main attraction of this place. From the city of Medan, Bukit Lawang can be reached in around 2.5 hours by driving with relatively good road conditions. RAFTING
Bahorok River
A fun activity is to float down this river, while sitting on a rubber tube. You start your floating adventure in Bukit Lawang (near your guesthouse) and will follow the river for about 15 kilometers down to the next village, Bohorok. From here you can take the public bus back to Bukit Lawang.
